Since its creation dating back to the 1970s in Prostějov, HaDivadlo has sought to establish itself as one of the leading alternative theatres in the Czech Republic and many prominent theatre personalities have been its members.

Ivan Buraj has been the artistic director of HaDivadlo since 2015.
